Maryland. A lot has happened here for yours truly. So much good, too much bad, but nothing more phenomenal than the weekend of Otakon ’07. This was an EPIC anime convention, and hands-down my favorite weekend ever. The highlight of that con (that week, that month, that year, my life) was getting a chance to meet Steve Blum in person. It was well worth the wait. As a voice actor in training, this serves as one of my greatest inspirations to date.
Maryland Stuff
-Not a big fan of Maryland, but I know the area far too well…
-There’s a lot of history here…
-I’ve broken hearts and had mine broken here…
-This state has the worst drivers on the East Coast! No seriously, NO ONE in Maryland can drive!
-Otakon! Oh yea!
-Baltimore is very interesting, but you have to know when & where to look-otherwise, you’ll miss the good stuff.
-I’ve been shot at a few times in good ol’ B-more…
-Maryland has a lot of potential & I expect to see some crazy growth in that state between ’09-’012.
-I started acting & recording voice demos here.
-The UMBC anime club has a really cool anime event at least once a year. It’s like a small anime con, and it brings out quite the crowd.
-3rd Eye Comics!
-Marylanders call their ‘Family’, their ‘Peoples’. I’m sure some other state does that too, but Maryland’s the 1st time I ever heard it in that context.
