I e-mailed this on the 6th of May to: disabled@facebook.com, warning@facebook.com, abuse@facebook.com, customerservice@facebook.com, info@facebookmail.com, appeals@facebook.com, privacy@facebook.com, login@facebook.com, disable@facebook.com, closed@facebook.com, abuse+nabrnlq@facebook.com
“I would like to preface by saying that I am not trying to spam Facebook. I am simply looking for clarification and answers.
Hello, My name is Dark Angel. On 4/11/09 my account was disabled. After an entire week I was told that I can not use Facebook under a fake name as it violates the Terms of Use & was told in no uncertain terms that if I wanted my account back, I was to supply my full legal name. (see attacthed). That was 4/18/09, when I most certianly supplied said information. This same scenario took place about 2 in a half years ago, on 11/20/06, when I was accused of the same charge. Then it took less than a day to clear up. Now, well, here we are almost a month later and this issue is yet to be resolved.
As I said prior, my name is Dark Angel. That is my. FULL. LEGAL. NAME. That’s not a joke, that is not a prank, and that is most certainly not a violation of the Terms of Use. I had it legally changed. If you don’t believe me see the attached documents. One is an old college ID from a school I transfered out of in late 2007, the other is a copy of my offical name change certificate (with my birthname whited out to respect my privacy). I have other ID if you wish to see it & and confirm I am who I say I am, and I assure you it’s all legitimate and current. I also have a host of friends and witneses (most of which are actually on Facebook) who would be more than happy to testify on the behalf of the valididty of my name and identity.
But none of this information should come as a surprise to your organization as I’ve been e-mailing you guys since the 11th of April about re-instating my account. No, I’m e-mailing this time in particular, not only to once again lobby that you return use of my account to me, but to ask for clarification on an e-mail I recieved yesterday. I recommend seeing acttached again, but basically, the e-mail said quote, “Unfortunately, we do not offer support for disabled accounts from this email alias.”
Now is this to say Facebook still does not believe my name is Dark Angel (which, by the way, it is) or that Facebook has ceased all “support for disabled accounts” for my particular e-mail address.
Now I know it’s taken almost an entire month to decide on how to deal with my account, which seems rather silly if you ask me, but clearly the question I’ve posed just now can not be that hard to answer? Can it?”
I attached the following documents and have yet to hear anything back. This was the last e-mail I will send out to Facebook on this issue. I will use other 3rd-party systems in an attempt to supplement the means to my end.
