1. Customer service is key. Don’t ignore your customers & assist them whenever possible. Your blog’s not THAT unique and you ARE replaceable. If you don’t meet your customers needs, there’s someone who’s more than willing to step up.
2. Solve problems & provide solutions. ‘And’ being the operative term here. Solve the problem, they will come. Keep it up, and they will follow.
3. The line starts here. Navigation is critical. You’d be surprised how many people can’t find their way around your site when the arrows and entrances are staring them right in the face.
4. People are idiots. Not fickle, yes idiots. But not all; just the ones that make us *love* people so much. This is YOUR blog, you do the best you can. But you will NEVER be able to make everyone happy. Of course one bad review/rant/comment and it makes you look like the bad guy. Understand, as a blogger, this dark cloud is never far. But stay consistent; this builds your quality & credibility.
5. Don’t get stale. It may not make sense to you, but trust me, throwing 50 sales in 1 week is a lot better than throwing 1 sale in 5. Never, ever let your content get stale. Keep it juiced, freshed, ripe, and always be looking for new ways to improve.
